This beta version of the ULAT’s French lessons is an experimental attempt to improve upon the original version of the ULAT. Your feedback regarding the beta version, both positive and negative, is highly appreciated so as to determine if its development should go forward. To provide feedback, please write to “firstname.lastname@example.org”.
Since only the beta version’s beginning lessons have thus far been created, you will want to use the far more complete original version of the ULAT (select “Lessons for subscribers”), unless you are an absolute beginner, in which case you might try out these new lessons. Here are the main differences between the original version of the ULAT and this beta version:
1. In the beta version, the lengthy instructional videos of the original ULAT have been removed and their content has been replaced by the use of moving images (GIFs) and additional exercises. The GIFs are indicated by a green border. You can either place your cursor on their image and wait for them to load or simply click on them and listen to the corresponding sound. If you would still like to watch the instructional videos, you can go to the original ULAT version, find the lesson’s topic in the Table of Contents, open the lesson and watch the video, which will be found in the lesson’s first section.2. The beta version includes a good deal of enhanced photography. 3. Whereas the original ULAT provided an answer video at the end of each oral test, in the beta version, the answer videos have been removed and you will find that each oral test item is linked to a sound file providing the correct answer.
